What kind of a security sytem is right for you?? wired or wireless??

First of all, there are two distinct types of systems. That being said, I am talking of wired and wireless cameras or security systems. The main difference is price of the two formats, and the lack of wires in the case of a wireless hidden camera.

A wireless system uses RF-Radio Frequency, similar to a cell phone, to transmit data from the camera to the receiver. A receiver is similar to a radio in your car, youmay tune to a station you want to monitor. In the case of hidden camera receivers, you can not tune to a different station, you are locked to 2.4ghz. You will simply run a cable from the receiver to the monitor or tv, and plug the monitor into an oulet.

In a wired system, all parts of the system works the same except, there will be seen a cable running from the camera to the monitor device.
